Her drum solos are explosive, and her improvisation skills take you on a flight through colorful emotions. Deborah often transmits positive energy and inspiration to her students. Her classes are therapeutic, moving, and energizing. Her students often describe her as being a compassionate and patient instructor with a deep interest in each and every students' progress.

Deborah was born in tropical Caracas, Venezuela. She is of Israeli and Spanish descendancy. At the age of 4 years old, she and her family migrated to Miami. Young Deborah demonstrated a natural inclination towards the performing arts. She took classes in ballet, jazz, tap dance and performed at student recitals. Her sister Irene a professional flamenco dancer, was always an inspiration. Little Debbie set foot on stage for the very first time when she was 5 years old when invited to do so by 19-year old sister Irene.

As a teenager, Deborah was fascinated by the ancient Okinawan karate style of Shorin Ryu. She trained with Chile's Sensei Claudio Coppelli, and in only two years competed at Master Juan's 8th Annual USKA/USMAA Tae Kwon Do Championships in Miami and placed first in the women's sparring division. Her fascination with the Eastern world and its' philosophy would later reintroduce her to dancing in a whole new way.

When the opening of her sister's dance school, "Irene Rimer Dance Academy" took place in 1998, she began taking beginners belly dance classes taught by her sister Irene. Once again the sisters were reunited through dance. Deborah joined a troupe her sister formed called, "The Irene Rimer Belly Dance Jewels". The troupe performed at several venues and dance recitals. After a year, Deborah began teaching beginners belly dance, and found another level of satisfaction through sharing her passion for dance. Teaching gave her the opportunity to interact with a variety of personalities, as well as further expand her creativity through her students. Through teaching and performing, she found her love for choreography. In the meantime, Deborah continued to take classes with her sister. She also attended classes and workshops with other instructors which include, Tamalyn Dallal, Amalia Maya, Alina, & Alicia from The Middle Eastern Dance Exchange, now known as Bozenka's Belly Dance Academy. Through this educational experience, she was able to blend and fuse everything into her own unique style.

Deborah studied theatre and acting at Miami Dade Community College. She participated in several student films at Miami Dade, The University of Miami, and International Fine Arts Academy. In college, she took philosophy and felt a deep appreciation for eastern and greek philosophy. She often mentions this as a turning point in her life, and feels it touched her soul greatly. Inside she felt a relentless need to express her love for wisdom and beauty. She wrote for two years on her theories of life and existence. Meanwhile, she continued performing when the opportunity presented itself.

Deborah is currently teaching belly dance for all levels at Irene Rimer Dance Academy. She is troupe director of "The Irene Rimer Belly Dance Jewels of South Florida". Some of the places Deborah has been seen performing include Morrocan Nights, Tantra, Taverna Yassou (now Uva), Touch, Sea Escape, and the list goes on. Dedicated wife and loving mother to 4 year old son Joe Anthony; Deborah finds her balance through middle eastern dance and spending time with her family. Her love for eastern philosophy and life now branches out into the physical aspect of dance. She feels an immeasurable appreciation for the opportunity and ability to perform and teach.
